Last week I made some rather forgettable jerk chicken that was saved by the addition of this rice and beans recipe from Simply Recipes. I loved the creamy, fragrant rice so much I made it again. Happening upon this beef stew recipe at Serious Eats shortly after seemed almost serendipitous. The two go together perfectly, and they come quite close to the flavors of some of my favorite Jamaican takeout places. Both smell quite wonderful too.
